Getting Divorced in 2020The time in which we are living has as much uncertainty as any time since, perhaps, the turbulent 1960s. It is almost impossible to be unaffected by these issues. If circumstances in your home are further complicating life, we at AMS Mediation want you to know that there are pathways forward to help, even during these uncertain times. If you and your spouse are on the path to Getting Divorced in 2024, AMS Mediation is ready to help you through our divorce mediation process.

Benefits of Divorce Mediation

During uncertain times, we generally look for signs of stability, resolution, and peace. The divorce mediation process is a potential source for this. If you and your spouse have decided to seek a divorce in 2020, the divorce mediation process may be the best option available to you. Divorce mediation is ideal for most couples. The process is designed to be more appealing than the traditional court-based divorce process. When you work with AMS Mediation, you partner with professionals who have expertise in Minnesota divorce law, which provides a measure of the added stability.

Our approach to divorce mediation is to maximize collaboration in identifying areas of common ground. If you and your spouse have a history of extreme conflict, AMS Mediation can help you find areas of agreement, which in turn create the potential for resolving issues. When you begin to see that it is possible to resolve one issue, resolving more complex issues may also seem more possible.

As our work with you reveals the possibility of resolving difficult issues with your spouse and progress is made, you are far more likely to see the potential for achieving peace in your life following your divorce. There is no doubt that divorce can cause tremendous stress in your life, but when you work with a qualified divorce mediator, you will see that your interests are also our interests. When interests are shared, even in the process of dissolving a marriage, peace suddenly seems in reach.

Virtual Divorce Mediation Options in 2020

In 2024, divorce mediation looks a bit different. Instead of in person mediation sessions, AMS Mediation offers online or virtual mediation sessions. We have found that virtual mediation sessions work quite well, offering both parties the opportunity to participate in the process from the comfort of their own home, without having to be in the same room. Virtual mediation sessions can resolve all types of important issues including child custody, division of property and spousal/child maintenance. If you are getting a divorce in 2020, AMS Mediation is ready to help you get through it. Contact us by calling 952.252.1492 to set up a free consultation.
