Relationship Changes during COVID-19We have heard a lot in the last few months about how the Covid-19 pandemic does not care about borders, religious and political affiliation, and most other categories that organize our society. This is true—the virus that has changed our world so dramatically in such a short time does not care about much other than spreading to a new carrier, whoever that may be. But the novel coronavirus is not the only force of nature that does not stop to consider its impact on people.

In fact, the various stay-at-home orders and personal decisions to limit public settings mean that people are spending much more concentrated time with their spouses, which can hasten the realization that it is time to make some necessary changes in those relationships. For many, divorce has become a force nearly as strong and unrelenting as Covid-19. Even during a pandemic, AMS Mediation, serving the South Metro area, wants you to know that we are still here to help you.

Virtual Divorce Mediation Services in South Metro

It is common that a relationship with underlying problems will move more quickly to divorce when the members of the couple are forced to spend concentrated time with one another. In circumstances where there has been a history of psychological, emotional, and/or physical abuse in the relationship, it is all the more important to seek the help of an experienced professional who can help you work toward a better solution.

Divorce mediation is an ideal resource for people who have reached the conclusion that they should no longer remain married to each other. AMS Mediation is open and serving clients, even during this unusual and concerning time, and we would be happy to help you by meeting virtually. Good communication is one of the foundational stones of mediation, and fortunately, good communication can occur not only in person, but by phone or video chat as well.

Move Forward Toward Your Future in a Healthy Way

At a time when most of us have limited access to the support provided by friends and loved-ones—at least those with whom we do not share a living space—going through the processes leading up to divorce can enhance feelings of isolation and despair. AMS Mediation offers you hope and the possibility of starting fresh. Making contact with us will help you answer preliminary questions about next steps for your life, and the deeper we go into the divorce mediation process, the greater clarity you will find. Call us at 952.252.1492, and we will be happy to answer your questions and schedule a time for a free consultation.
