Resolving Conflict after Divorce If you have a divorce settlement in place with the courts but need to make changes after it has been finalized (months later or even years later), then you may want to consider the option of post-decree mediation. This process allows you to make changes or resolve issues that come up after a Court Order is put in place. It is simply impossible to anticipate every potential issue that may come up as you and your family move forward with your life. Post-decree mediation gives you an option for resolving things that come up without having to spend the financial (and emotional) resources needed to go through the court.

What Is Post-Decree Mediation?

AMS Mediation of Burnsville, Minnesota, offers high quality post-decree mediation services for families all over the Minnesota area. We can help you handle a wide variety of issues that come up after divorce including:

● Financial issues, discrepancies and/or disagreements
● Child support concerns or changes
● Spousal maintenance
● Parenting time changes
● Other co-parenting decisions

It is not feasible to go through the courts for each and every conflict that you have with your ex after divorce. It is incredibly expensive and would take long periods of time just to resolve one small issue. The court system also cannot accommodate this from a scheduling perspective. Post-decree mediation can be an ideal way to resolve these issues, save you time and money and lay a positive foundation for your future interactions. Post decree mediation also can reduce the overall conflict between you and your ex, rather than increase it through litigation. Finally, you can come up with solutions that actually work for you and your family, rather than leaving these major decisions in the hands of a judge. Post-decree mediation also allows you to focus on your future, rather than all the pain in your past.
